Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect

Jane Doe v. Nursing Home (2004)
Settlement: $600,000

The elderly victim in this Maryland nursing home case suffered from decubitus ulcers which became gangrene causing both her legs to become gangrene. She underwent extensive hospital stays, including surgeries. She died from sepsis and other conditions.

Estate of Lilly Matthews v. Liberty Nursing Center
Settlement $150,000 (1995)

The elderly nursing home negligence victim in this case fractured her left hip while under the care of the nursing home staff where she lived. The cause of her injury was unknown, and required surgery and five weeks of hospitalization. She died of unrelated causes several months after the incident.

Jane Doe v. HMO (1995)

The HMO physicians failed to timely diagnose rectal cancer over an eighteen month period. Doe underwent surgery and was diagnosed as having metastatic stage III rectal cancer.

Automobile Accidents

Estate of Farahmand v. Auto Experts (2000)

The decedent died on I-495 when a tire from another vehicle on the opposite side of the road became loose and crashed into the Decedent's windshield, killing her.

Emmer v. Feinberg
Settlement: $175,00.00

The Plaintiff was injured when the Defendant's vehicle failed to yield the right of way causing a collision. The Plaintiff suffered numerous fractures and other injuries.

Product Liability

Joe Dow v. Drug Manufacturer
Settlement: $1,500,000. Estimated payout of $3,850,000

The plaintiff in this case was a thirty-four year old auto mechanic who consumed a defective drug that caused neurologic damages resulting in 100% disability.
